A new set of guidelines and restrictions was released by the provincial government of Oriental Mindoro after the entire island of Mindoro was placed under Alert Level 3 until January 31 by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease on Wednesday. Gov. Humerlito Dolor signed the executive order on Thursday night. Under the EO, only essential travelers are allowed to enter the province for medical reasons, work-related and humanitarian purposes. Only fully vaccinated individuals would be allowed to enter the province. For those who are not vaccinated, a negative RT-PCR test result is required. Members of the judiciary and medical personnel are also allowed to travel as well as drivers of vehicles carrying food, essential goods and medical services. Only fully vaccinated tourists are allowed, but they also need to present a negative rapid antigen test results within 24 hours of their travel. Tourists below 18 and above 65 years old would not be allowed entry. Establishments are allowed to operate only with 30 percent capacity for indoor and 50 percent capacity for outdoor with only fully vaccinated individuals as guests. All contact sports are not allowed. Cockfights, motorcades, casinos, betting shops, religious gatherings outside churches, mosques or chapels, and cinemas are also not allowed.
